We specialize in software that does stuff that no commercial software does, because it is too specialized to be commercial. We create programs that talk to external equipment, or to interface two programs, such as a proprietary database, and Microsoft’s Word, to creating documents straight from a database.
All of our programs are written in C++, a language best suited to Windows programs, and especially when they involve scientific calculations or measurements. RS-232 communications including modem connections are another one of the custom programming functionality we have many years of experience with. Since 1994, our communications protocols included TCP/IP Network communications Applications such as our CableSoft TV control System have been interfaced with the hospital's mainframe engine receiving packets containing HL7 (Health Level 7 protocol), data, and the patient's TV is enabled based on one of the fields contained in the packet.
Other custom programming includes multi-site cable control software, with automated dial-up voice menu procedures, and our latest call centre, multi-site control system with remote TCP/IP workstations. This provides a one location control of hospital TV systems anywhere in the country, or in fact anywhere in the world through the Internet. A network server program calls the site software to exchange data concerning the TV system. The server is input from multi operators' terminals, when the patient/subscriber calls a 1-800 number to get his TV enabled.
